What is the working principle of diamond core bits? The drill bit that makes the cutting edge is called a diamond core bit. The drill bit is an integrated drill bit. The entire drill bit has no moving parts. The structure is relatively simple, with high strength, high wear resistance and impact resi
What kinds of drill pipe can be divided into? The drill pipe is a steel pipe with thread on the tail, which is used to connect the surface equipment of the drilling rig and the drilling and grinding equipment or bottom hole device located at the bottom end of the drilling well. The purpose of t
How to classify core barrels? A section of pipe connected to the upper part of the drill bit to accommodate and protect the core during core barrel. This article will introduce the classification of core barrel. This article contains the following:n What is core barrel?n Single layer core barreln do

Product Description
Heavy Weight Drill Pipe 3 1/2”, 26.10 Lb ft, Connection NC-38
HWDP is used as a transitional stiffness section, typically between the stiff and rigid drill collars and the relatively light and flexible drill pipe joints to reduce fatigue failures directly above the bottom hole assembly.
Standard HWDP was developed to provide a gradual transition from heavy drill collars to relatively lightweight drill pipe.
This intermediate-weight pipe has a wall thickness of approximately 1 in. and helps prevent stress concentration at the top of the drill collar section. Heavy weight drill pipe also enables drilling at higher RPMs, reducing torque and differential pressure sticking.
Heavy weight drill pipe is well-suited for directional drilling applications. Because it bends easily, heavy weight drill pipe simplifies directional control and minimizes connection fatigue problems that are common in high-angle or horizontal drilling.

For extended reach and horizontal wells, high-strength heavy weight drill pipe is often used high in the hole to apply weight on the bit. This is especially true for wells in which the total vertical depth to total measured depth ratio is low.
Connection technologies
As the leader in the development of rotary-shouldered connections, our products are engineered to optimize drill pipe performance. With four generations of double-shouldered connections, we have developed technologies to meet the demands of any drilling challenge.
Grade technologies
ROSCHEN’s purposefully engineered drill pipe material grades provide increased product performance and integrity. Our high-strength grades help you drill safer and deeper with reduced hook loads and improved hydraulics. Our sour service grades deliver outstanding performance while resisting sulfide stress cracking (SSC), helping you drill safely and efficiently in harsh, sour conditions.
